FloormapVS2i improved capabilities on thicker plates and annular ring inspection

Back in the late 80’s BP specified a 40% deep conical pit originating on the underside of a 6mm thick plate as the target for MFL to detect.  Standard MFL has long since been able to detect smaller defects and test thicker plates but Silverwing has now gone one stage further.  The FloormapVS2i is able to detect and size a 40% conical pit originating from the underside of a 12.5mm thick plate but size it in real time.  The corrosion data is stored on the on-board computer during the inspection data capture period and then transferred to the reporting software which is the most comprehensive of any tank floor inspection systems currently available on the market. 

To compliment the improvement in the data capture and sizing system, continuous development of the reporting software has resulted in the FloormapVS2i now being able to automatically map the corrosion located in the annular plates in the same fashion as the standard floor plates.  The FloormapVS2i is the leading MFL inspection system available for purchase on the open market and is in current use on the storage tanks of all the world’s major oil companies.
