Silverwing UK Ltd awarded ISO 9001:2008 Accreditation

Silverwing UK Ltd are happy to announce that they have been awarded the prestigious ISO 9001:2008 quality system accreditation for “design, development and manufacture of non destructive test and inspection equipment”. The Company has been working closely with the British Standards Institute (BSI) for the last 12 months to formalise it’s Quality Assurance (QA) system in line with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008 standard. After a rigorous 2 day audit of Company processes and procedures, BSI confirmed that Silverwing’s QA system not only met the procedural requirements of ISO 9001:2008 but embraced the concept where the QA system is used to assist in improving quality not just detecting failures and awarded the Company ISO 9001:2008 registration.

Silverwing UK Ltd’s aim is to continually develop our inspection product range so that we can take advantage of technological advances to enable our Clients to provide a better more comprehensive inspection service while making the process less arduous on the technician carrying out the inspection. By implementing ISO 9001:2008 procedures for Quality Management we look to ensure that our products are designed to meet specific inspection requirements, that the equipment is manufactured to the highest standard and that our after sales technical support is carried out professionally. We consistently aim to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction and continuously improve our operation.

Silverwing UK Ltd has a small inspection service division in the UK carrying out above ground storage tank inspection, buried storage tank inspection and associated pipework inspection using both MFL and specialist UT for corrosion detection, sizing and mapping. The inspection division’s equipment is continuously up-graded so that they always have the latest products available. In line with Company policy the inspection division is a specialist operation concentrating on Above Ground Storage Tank Inspection in line with EEMUA 159 or API 653 specifications. The separate QA system needed for a Service Inspection operation, as against a manufacturing operation, is currently being formalised in line with ISO 9001:2008 and Silverwing UK Ltd hope to have completed the audit and gained registration the first quarter of 2010.
