Scorpion DCP

Scorpion DCP - Remote access crawler with a dry coupled ultrasonic wheel probe for Ultrasonic thickness measurements

The Scorpion DCP remote access crawler uses a unique “Dry Coupled” wheel probe eliminating the need for traditional couplant. This allows the crawler to travel vertically, horizontally or even inverted whilst still fully functional. Compatible with most ultrasonic system, a 50 metre umbilical cable allows access to the furthest point of most structures without the need for scaffolding.

Key Features

  • Unique Dry Coupled Wheel Transducer
  • Remote Operation with No Height Restriction
  • 12VDC Self Contained System

A pair of 12mm thick Ro-Cee rubber tyres fit over the Probe axle. A cork washer prevents cross talk between each side of the transducer. Also a neodymium magnet mounted in front of the wheel probe maintains adequate probe pressure

UT set connects to the Control Module via standard BNC connectors.

These features turn the Scorpion DCP from a simple corrosion detection device into one of the most cost effective, comprehensive remote access Ultrasonic thickness measurements systems on the market today.
